Track A Plane is an aviation marketplace designed to connect buyers, sellers, aviation businesses, professionals, service providers, aircraft owners, operators, parts suppliers, and other members of the aviation community.
These Listing Policies establish requirements for content published on Track A Plane.
By submitting a listing, you agree to comply with these policies and the Track A Plane Terms of Service.
2. Accurate Information Required
All listings must contain accurate and current information to the best of the seller’s or advertiser’s knowledge.
Users must not intentionally:
- Misrepresent an item.
- Misrepresent ownership.
- Misrepresent condition.
- Misrepresent availability.
- Misrepresent price.
- Misrepresent location.
- Misrepresent specifications.
- Misrepresent documentation.
- Misrepresent certification or traceability.
- Misrepresent aircraft time.
- Misrepresent maintenance status.
- Misrepresent component status.
- Use deceptive photographs.
- Conceal material information when doing so would make the listing misleading.
3. Aircraft Listings
Aircraft listings should accurately identify the aircraft being offered.
Where applicable, listings should provide:
- Manufacturer.
- Model.
- Year.
- Registration number.
- Serial number where appropriate.
- Total time.
- Engine information.
- Propeller information.
- Avionics.
- Maintenance information.
- Location.
- Asking price.
- Aircraft status.
- Contact information.
- Photographs.
- Other material specifications.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that aircraft information is accurate and current.
Track A Plane does not independently certify aircraft information unless expressly stated.
4. Aircraft Parts Listings
Parts listings should accurately identify:
- Part number.
- Alternate part number where applicable.
- Description.
- Manufacturer.
- Quantity.
- Condition.
- Serial number where applicable.
- Location.
- Price or quotation status.
- Traceability information where applicable.
- Documentation availability.
- Warranty information where applicable.
- Exchange/core requirements where applicable.
- Shelf-life information where applicable.
Users must not represent a component as airworthy, serviceable, approved, certified, traceable, or otherwise eligible for installation unless they have an appropriate factual and documentary basis for that representation.
5. Part Condition
Where available, users may identify common aviation component conditions such as:
- New (NE)
- Factory New (FN)
- New Surplus (NS)
- Overhauled (OH)
- Serviceable (SV)
- Inspected (IN)
- Tested (TST)
- Repaired (RD)
- Repairable (RP)
- As Removed (AR)
- Rebuilt (RB)
- Core (CR)
- Exchange (EX)
- Modified (MO)
- Beyond Economical Repair (BER)
- Other
Condition codes may have different meanings depending on the supplier, inventory system, manufacturer, repair organization, or industry context.
Users should provide the full condition description whenever possible rather than relying solely on an abbreviation.
A condition designation does not by itself establish airworthiness, traceability, installation eligibility, or regulatory acceptance.
6. Aviation Real Estate
Real-estate listings must accurately describe the property.
Listings may include:
- Hangars.
- Offices.
- Airports.
- Aviation facilities.
- Land.
- Warehouses.
- Industrial aviation facilities.
- Other aviation-related property.
Users are responsible for verifying:
- Ownership.
- Availability.
- Zoning.
- Airport rules.
- Lease terms.
- Permitted uses.
- Dimensions.
- Utilities.
- Access.
- Restrictions.
- Pricing.
- Other material property information.
Track A Plane is not a real-estate broker unless expressly identified as such.
7. Aviation Services
Service providers must accurately describe the services they offer.
Examples include:
- Aircraft maintenance.
- Avionics.
- Interior services.
- Detailing.
- Aircraft management.
- Charter-related services.
- Ferry services.
- Training.
- Consulting.
- Inspection services.
- Parts services.
- Logistics.
- Ground support.
- Other aviation-related services.
Service providers are responsible for ensuring that their licenses, certificates, approvals, qualifications, authorizations, insurance, and other credentials are accurate where represented.
8. Aviation Jobs
Employment listings must accurately identify:
- Position.
- Employer or hiring organization.
- Location.
- Employment type.
- Required qualifications.
- Compensation information where provided.
- Application instructions.
- Contact information.
Users must not post fraudulent employment opportunities, collect unnecessary sensitive information, or use employment listings to facilitate scams.
Track A Plane does not guarantee employment, hiring, qualifications, compensation, or employment relationships.
9. Photographs and Media
Users must have the right to upload photographs and other media.
Users may not upload content that:
- They do not have permission to use.
- Infringes copyright.
- Misappropriates another person’s intellectual property.
- Is materially deceptive or manipulated in a misleading manner.
- Contains unlawful content.
Photographs should accurately represent the item being offered.
10. Prohibited Listings
Track A Plane may prohibit or remove listings involving:
- Illegal goods or services.
- Stolen property.
- Fraudulent transactions.
- Counterfeit products.
- Unauthorized use of another person’s identity.
- Materially deceptive listings.
- Malware or malicious software.
- Phishing schemes.
- Fraudulent employment opportunities.
- Unlawful financial schemes.
- Items prohibited by applicable law.
- Content that infringes intellectual-property rights.
- Content that violates applicable aviation regulations.
- Content that violates Track A Plane policies.
- Content that creates an unreasonable safety or legal risk.
Track A Plane may prohibit additional categories when reasonably necessary to operate the marketplace safely and lawfully.
11. Duplicate Listings
Users should not create multiple substantially identical listings for the same item unless expressly permitted by Track A Plane.
Duplicate listings may be consolidated, edited, suspended, or removed.
12. Misleading Pricing
Prices must be presented honestly.
Users should not advertise:
- Artificially low prices intended to attract inquiries.
- Prices that exclude material charges without appropriate disclosure.
- “Free” offers that require undisclosed mandatory payments.
- Fake discounts.
- Misleading payment terms.
13. Contact Information
Users should provide valid contact information.
Track A Plane may restrict listings that contain:
- Fake contact information.
- Misleading identities.
- Excessive unrelated external links.
- Malicious URLs.
- Phishing links.
- Links designed to circumvent Track A Plane security or marketplace rules.
14. Listing Review
Track A Plane may review listings before or after publication.
Review may include automated systems, manual review, user reports, or other methods.
Review does not mean Track A Plane guarantees the accuracy, quality, legality, ownership, condition, authenticity, or safety of a listing.
15. Listing Removal
Track A Plane may reject, edit, suspend, restrict, or remove a listing when it reasonably believes that the listing:
- Violates these policies.
- Violates the Terms of Service.
- Contains materially misleading information.
- Creates a security concern.
- Creates a legal or regulatory concern.
- Is fraudulent or suspicious.
- Infringes intellectual property.
- Is no longer available.
- Is duplicated.
- Contains prohibited content.
- Creates an unreasonable risk to users or Track A Plane.
16. Seller Responsibility
The person or organization submitting a listing is responsible for:
- Accuracy.
- Legality.
- Ownership or authority.
- Documentation.
- Photos.
- Descriptions.
- Pricing.
- Availability.
- Communications with prospective buyers.
- Completion of transactions.
- Compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
17. Buyer Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for performing appropriate due diligence before purchasing.
Track A Plane strongly encourages appropriate independent verification, inspection, documentation review, and professional advice for significant aviation transactions.
18. Changes to Listings
Users should promptly update listings when:
- An item is sold.
- An item is no longer available.
- The price changes.
- Specifications change.
- The location changes.
- Material information changes.
Track A Plane may update or remove stale listings.
19. Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Listing rejection.
- Listing editing.
- Listing suspension.
- Listing removal.
- Account restrictions.
- Account suspension.
- Account termination.
- Loss of listing privileges.
- Other appropriate action.
